It is the start point of English blog. If someone visit after now, he/she think that 「isn’t this blog operated such style from the beginning?」 But it is not. I have spent many time to construct dual language blog. It is important change of this blog. I used too much energy so I can’t write this post in detail.

Actually, I installed wordpress blog in English, and I operate my blog in English mode. Because I am Korean, all posts are written in Korean.

I get to know the plugin ‘Polylang’ by chance. If I use the plugin, I can operate Korean and English blog in same site. Operating English blog is one of my target. So I installed the plugin shortly after knowing the plugin.

The plugin select language of the blog. I defined the English as default and added Korean.

And I translated some items such as blog title and description.

I confirmed URL setting and some others. (Because I used the post’s address as my own style, the URL setting is important for me.) The most important setting is the conversion of English ↔ Korean. But it strongly depends on blog theme setting. So I just write as ‘after some trial, I finished’. The home page address of each language is simple so the key idea is how to add the link in blog widget/menu.

And.. the remaining job is ‘translation and filling each language’s post’. But I already wrote about 20 posts in Korean. SO I TRANSLATED AND WROTE ENGLISH POST FOR ALMOST ALL OF MY POSTS. Only 3 posts are excluded. I think them is not need to be read globally. In this time, Korean page has 3 more posts than English page.

As a result, the Korean version of blog is established.

The English version is also working.

Even, my own wiki page has..

It’s English version.
Until now, the blog has only Korean version. So after I translate the post, I modify same date in both of English / Korean post. From now, I will write Korean post and English post respectively. (This post is the first post the Korean version and English version has different time stamp.) The Korean blog and English blog may have different posts and contents in someday.
