Just like a turtle and slowcoach, the number of post in gaming category is increasing. It is due to I usually watch the AfreecaTV after leaving work. There are so many contents on internet, of course. Among them, I like to watch content related to game.
Recently, I watched the event league of ‘stormgate’ – the new game which is developed by former SC2 developers. I am interested in RTS games, I watched the broadcastings.
As I mentioned before, AfreecaTV’s one of most popular gaming contents is starcraft (and LoL) and the players already have crews. So the gaming content would be made by Afreeca’s BJ, starcraft crews can be good choice. SInce it is a event match, the introduction is somewhat comic.
Haha.. There is an expert of 2starport wraith build. And one of above had experienced to destroy her own science vessel. The others also have funny introductions.
The players are important. But the most important thing is game itself. Because the past career of developers, this game is compared with starcraft or warcraft. Above game was similar to TvsT game but the beginning was similar to the ZvsZ due to the fight between many dog-like units.
I didn’t know this game exactly, but I could feel who plays better. In the above situation, the battle was start with similar population but the army of red force was increased as the battle progressed and the ground covered by some spell.
But the red color race was not the most powerful player (red color player was same in two screenshots.) The understanding of this game and battle strategy was most important, and who knew the most was blue color in this screenshot.
And the final match result was 4 : 0. The winning crew’s name is Ukkikkiz so many members had monkey style accessories.
By the way, the viewer number right after the final match was so small. Sum of three members’s broadcast viewer who won the match was about 600. (It was very small. At same time, starcraft BJ’s had 16k views, LoL BJ’s had 36k.) And I also felt that it is not easy to familiar to this game. It was not easy to understand. I just felt ‘some army as spell came and went, and the battle was finished’.
Actually, I don’t know which game is trendy recently. (I don’t know console games, and now I don’t know the trend of PC games.) But it is hard to make sensational RTS game, in my thought. The developers of this game were experienced people and the budget for this game was not small. But I can find the review of this game as ‘it is incomplete game’. And if this game is similar to starcraft or warcraft, the balance between each race should be fair and solid. But I saw the balance in this game moved significantly during the event matches. (The game patch moved whole game’s balance.) I understand that the RTS game is hard to make and the tuning balance between race is quite difficult. (And I am not sure the promotion method is correct.) I plant to do play this as soon as I finish my busy schedule. (it takes few months.) I hope this game improve the completion and get more popularity. Will this game still be running when I determine to play?
